Making your WordPress site compliant with the My Agile Privacy® Consent Management Platform is easy—just follow these steps.
Installing My Agile Privacy® on your WordPress site
Go to your WordPress admin panel and navigate to "Plugins > Add New".
Use the search bar in the top right to find "My Agile Privacy®".
Click "Install Now" on the My Agile Privacy® card, then click "Activate".
License Activation
If you don’t have a license yet, choose the plan that fits you here.
If you already have one, enter it in the Dashboard to unlock the premium features.
Step 2: Consent status, Cookie Shield, and Consent Mode v2
Once the license key is activated, My Agile Privacy® automatically sets the Cookie Shield to Learning mode.
This way, simply browsing the site’s frontend pages as a regular visitor will allow My Agile Privacy® to detect and block the cookies present on those pages. Once you have browsed your main pages, remember to switch the Cookie Shield to Live mode from the Dashboard, so that preventive cookie blocking becomes active for all visitors. In any case, Learning mode automatically switches to Live after 7 days.
If your site uses products from the Google ecosystem (Google Analytics, Google Ads, etc.), you need to enable Consent Mode v2.
To do this, select the dedicated option from the Dashboard. More information about Consent Mode v2 is available here.
If your site hosts advertising networks (Google AdSense, Ad Manager, AdMob), from the same Consent tab you can also enable the IAB TCF, the transparency and consent standard required by advertising partners to serve ads in a compliant way.
Configure the policies
My Agile Privacy® provides a simple guided procedure that allows you to configure the policies according to the specific needs and cases of your website.
In the "COOKIE BANNER" tab, you can personalize the banner’s color, font size, layout, and size, as well as adjust its positioning and preset color themes.
Use the live preview tool to check your settings before publish.
Consent Revisit Widget Customization
Users must be able to change their cookie choices at any time.
Customize or hide the revisit widget from the "Consent" tab, in the "Consent Widget" section. If you choose to hide it, make sure you add an accessible link or button (e.g. in your footer) so users can reopen the consent banner—instructions are available within the tab.
Please note: if you disable the consent widget, you need to add the dedicated shortcode indicated in the tab instructions, so that users can review their choices at any time. If the re-consent widget is disabled and the shortcode has not been added, the re-consent widget will still be displayed. This is a way to help you keep your site compliant.

How do I activate the My Agile Privacy® license?

The Cookie Shield is a feature that automatically activates in Learning mode as soon as you enter the license key. In this mode, by browsing the frontend pages of the site as a regular visitor, My Agile Privacy® detects and blocks the cookies present on the pages.
When is it necessary to enable Consent Mode v2?
Consent Mode v2 is required if Google ecosystem products, such as Google Analytics or Google Ads, are in use on the site. It can be enabled by selecting the dedicated option from the Dashboard.
How do I configure policies with My Agile Privacy®?
From the Dashboard, click on 'Policy configuration status', follow the link to the Policy Assistant and complete the guided procedure, which allows you to configure policies in a simple, step-by-step manner based on the specific needs of the site.
How do I customize the cookie banner?
From the My Agile Privacy® menu > Privacy Settings, in the 'Cookie Banner' tab, you can customize colors, text sizes, positioning, banner and button effects. Color presets and a real-time preview are available.
What happens if the consent re-visitation widget is disabled without inserting the shortcode?
If the re-consent widget is disabled and the dedicated shortcode has not been inserted, the re-consent widget will still be displayed automatically, so as to ensure that users can always review their choices and keep the site compliant.
